Creative expression has always been necessary for Melissa—going back to childhood. Her grandmothers, Johnsie and Louise, gave her the kind of love that inspired. They baked and shared with others. She learned.

As a proud southerner, family food culture was a love language rooted deep for Melissa. She now carries on the tradition of feeding others. She also shares entrepreneurial spirit with her father. He co-owned a well-known Charlotte wine shop in the 1970s.
