When my customer said she wanted a "Tour De Charlotte" cake I thought to myself "how on earth am I going to pull this off?!" But with some brainstorming we were able to do it!

Themed cakes for adults can be a little tricky for me. If I overdo it, it looks like a child's cake. If I keep it too simple, it's underwhelming. This time, the finished product was a bit underwhelming so I packed my supplies up and headed to the customers house. I made the recommendation to add a border and she suggested swapping out a road sign and VOILÀ 🤌🏾. I've never made adjustments with a customer with me before but that was my favorite part of making this cake. I was able to leave the cake confident that she was happy with her order.

It's such a blessing to celebrate 90 years and I was honored to be a part of the festivities!! This cake made me giggle because things are not always what they seem. It's giving strawberry cake goodness butttttt it's not!! 🤭

What we have here is an 8in 4 layer vanilla cake with vanilla custard and browned butter buttercream!! 🤤.
