It's a sad week for my family. My grandma, the one who taught me my love of baking, is not long for this world anymore. I made an impromptu trip this week to see her before she passes because I hadn't been to my grandparents since 2019. I assumed I'd be back to work by Monday. But after learning the full condition of my grandma, the 10 hour drive at $5/gal of gas to turn around and come back next weekend for a funeral doesn't make sense. So for now I'm in NY spending time with family. It will give me time to bake in the kitchen that started it all. I'll be having a bake sale to help me afford the gas and time off my 'regular' job.
