It's National Donut Day. For once, everyone's invited.

If you're gluten-free, you've spent a lot of National Donut Days watching everyone else eat. Not here. Every donut we make is gluten-free, made to order — same as any other day. Today just has a name.

Come get one. Or three. Strawberries and Cream, build-your-own, whatever's on the board — fresh whipped cream, real fruit, sauces from bottles you'd recognize.

'Because from the very beginning, the first ingredient was love'

More than a century ago, the “Donut Lassies” entered the WWI huts with hands full of flour, sugar, and the honest intention to lift the spirits of the soldiers who were far from home. Against all odds, that small act of kindness made a lasting difference.

On June 7, 1938, The Salvation Army first celebrated National Doughnut Day as a fundraiser during the Great Depression to support families facing hardship. A wonderful act that mirrored and honored the legacy of those courageous women.

Today, at The Salvation Army, we carry this purpose forward each day, meeting local needs with love and compassion through our food pantries 🍽️.

Mondays we're closed — the kitchen rests after six days of every donut made to order. Starting tomorrow: sundaes are back, iced coffee weather is here, and Friday-night drops run every weekend through the month.
