What a final week! We are so proud of our team for sprinting to the end and finishing strong! We can’t thank all of our customers enough. Your willingness to wait in lines and deal with website malfunctions, along with your wonderful notes and words of kindness have touched us so deeply.
Over this past year, the community support from our customers and other local businesses has been a bright light that has reminded us of the good in the world when we were submerged in darkness.
Although Glazed is gone, its spirit lives on in the people who passed through it’s doors. Former employees have gone on to start their own businesses, both locally and around the country, including a couple bakeries! Our regulars have made memories here that they will remember forever, and many of them will remain lifelong friends of ours. Our families, even our extended families, have become one big group, which is the thing that we are most thankful for of all. From Friday night dinners, to overseas vacations, to hurricane evacuations, our families have all done so much together, and that isn’t going to change. We’re even working together on our next business.
We’re so proud to finish what Mark and Allison started 13 years ago.

Hey everyone. In order to avoid a repeat of our technical issues yesterday, we are going to just be doing walk-ins tomorrow. First come, first-serve, with a limit of a dozen doughnuts per person until we sell out. We will be open at 7 am. Thanks again for bearing with us through the craziness. The surge of people logging in at one caused our ordering system to freeze up. When it came back, we already had 50% more orders than we were planning to take. This is bad news for our sleep schedules, but good news for you, as we plan on fulfilling all the orders we have received. If you’re able, we recommend not being here right at 8, as there will be a line. Thank you all again for your incredible support.

This weekend was one of the most physically demanding, yet emotionally rewarding times of our lives. We pushed ourselves to our limits for each other, for Allison, and for all of you. We are so thankful for the INCREDIBLE support, understanding, and patience you all have had.  
  We had past employees come from out of town to help us, which has filled our hearts with more gratitude then we can properly express. We’ve had family members and friends with full time jobs helping us, and we couldn’t have done it without them. We are so, so thankful. 
  Given that the extra help had to go back to their regular lives this week, we will be making fewer doughnuts our last two days. We are still making significantly more than usual, though. We will also only be doing pre-orders, no walk-ins, so that we can continue focusing on quality and quantity. IMPORTANT: pickups will start at 8am, not 7, Tuesday and Wednesday, and must be picked up by noon. We had a few no-shows this weekend, and in order to be fair to ourselves, and our customers who may have missed out, we are offering NO REFUNDS if you do not pick up by then. 
  Orders go live at 1pm today for pickup tomorrow. Two days left. Let’s finish strong!

UPDATE: we have reached our maximum capacity for doughnuts. Orders will open again on Monday at 1 pm.

We continue to be blown away by your love and support. Our team killed it today, and we were able to fulfill a ton of pre-orders, as well as serve walk-ins until noon. In order to continue our high level of quality and employee work/life balance, we will only be making doughnuts for orders and deliveries tomorrow. We will be making a bunch of doughnuts, so please don’t hesitate to order! Closing the shop to walk-ins allows us to maximize the number of doughnuts that we make, as well as getting orders ready quickly. Thank you, and see you tomorrow!

All of your support has been truly overwhelming. Due to the unprecedented amount of pre-orders and delivery orders we have received, we will not be opening the shop to walk-ins tomorrow. We will reassess the situation and post an update about Saturday tomorrow evening. Thank you for understanding!

In the nearly 13 years that Glazed has been opened, we’ve won dozens of awards, made thousands of doughnuts and made even more memories. Our customers have become our friends, and our employees have become our family.

  But a business like this is a labor of love. If you lose that passion, it is difficult to continue. That passion was greatly diminished when the heart of Glazed, Allison, was taken from us cruelly and prematurely last year. 

  We have decided to close Glazed. Wednesday, April 17th will be our last day, while we still have echoes of that original love and passion left.
 
  We are enormously proud of what we have accomplished. We are eternally grateful for the support that we have received locally, nationally, and internationally. We hope to see you for one last cup of coffee, one last purple goat, and one more great memory before we close.
