Born and raised in the Bronx, NY this Charleston local started baking cakes in memory of the beloved family matriarch Fergie. Fergie was an avid baker and her love for pound cake turned into Desiree putting her own spin on Fergie's recipe, and that pound cake became a staple at family gatherings. To honor Fergie after her passing, Desiree began to experiment turning the various desserts her loving
mother adored, into pound cakes and the rest is herstory! You can find Fergie's Favorites at the Charleston City Market, which is where we first got started and to whom we are so grateful for, in addition to online and at various events in (and out!) of town.
