Everyone is so excited!!! And so are we!

This weekend we hope to announce days and times we will open next week. We only have 20% of our crop ripe, we have some early ripening varieties. The rest of the crop won’t be ripe for another week or 2.

We would absolutely hate to open the field too early and not everyone have enough to pick. That would be so disappointing!

We should hopefully have berries through the first week or 2 of July so there should be plenty of time for everyone to visit!

The cost will be $4 per pound (pick your own) and lots more information will be published once we have more details.

Thanks again for all the interest and excitement!

So many of you love our blueberries and we are beyond honored by this!

Just wanted to review a few important things about pre ordering…

1. We have an ongoing list of orders that we work through, one at a time. We don’t have employees so we pick around family schedules, life and work schedules. We want to ensure you get the best quality for your money.

2. We will contact you when we start working on your order so you have enough notice to plan to pick up the day they are ready (to ensure you have the freshest berries). If you can’t pick up when ready, they will need to go to next person in line. We will come back to you when more convenient.

3. Pick ups will usually be at the farm stand (during open hours). They will be packaged up nicely for you. Again, we will give you that information when your order is ready.

4. We accept cash and Venmo.

5. If you are listed on the pre-picked order list, your order may take some time to fill. If you need your berries sooner, it is best for you to come and enjoy picking your own (or have someone pick for you) when the farm is open.

Again, we are so grateful for each and every one of you! God has truly blessed us with so many wonderful customers!

Just wanted to share for those of you who haven’t visited us before, we do not use pesticides on the bushes and we try our best to limit any herbicides near the bushes themselves. We are conscious of all those things in our own diets and want our blueberries to be the healthiest they can be. Hope that reassures all of you.

🫐Who is ready for blueberries??🫐

Like clockwork, some of the blueberries are ripe by June 1. Therefore, we plan to open the farm for pick your own beginning some next week! We only have about 20% of the farm ready to pick so we are trying to time the opening correctly. Check back for updates, announcements and reminders through the weekend.

We will also begin taking orders for prepicked blueberries next week, $7 per quart. There is a limit of 10 prepicked per person at a time.

Edit: the price of a quart will remain the same as last year, $7.

We are another week closer to blueberry season! Just wanted to share some of the wonderful health benefits of blueberries…and fresh picked are so much better than store bought!

Once the farmstand is back up and operational, we hope to also offer some baked goods as time allows. I’ve been toying with the idea of offering occasional sourdough bread, sourdough cinnamon rolls and maybe some delicious sourdough blueberry bread pudding!
And….looking forward to more batches of refreshing blueberry lemonade!

Also, follow Kami at The Kitchen at Sweet River Berry Farms for all the ideas she has for the season!
