✨ An End of an Era, and the Beginning of a New Chapter ✨
To our beloved Modern Betty family
This post feels surreal to write, and even harder to share. After years of dreaming, planning, praying, and waiting for the right time… our family is officially moving to Texas at Christmas to be closer to family, slow down from the hustle, and reconnect with what matters most.
Our move may feel sudden, but it has truly been years in the making.
The Modern Betty began with Crystal’s desire to create memories in the kitchen—not just cookies, but laughter, connection, creativity, and comfort. Over the years, that dream grew far beyond our kitchen table. It became your memories too. Birthday celebrations, wedding dessert tables, new baby announcements, market day traditions, and late-night cravings.
You’ve been with us through it all—
🌿 The early mornings and first pop-ups
🍪 The uncertainty of COVID
🧑🏻🌾 The weekly hauls
🎉 The joy of
🛍️ A sweet treat while shopping
💕 Cheering us on as we welcomed our twins and learned about parenthood
🤝 And somewhere along the way, customers became friends, and friends became family.
For 6 years at the Gilbert Farmers Market, we have cried, laughed, celebrated, grown, and poured our hearts into every market morning. It is truly the end of an era, and this chapter is incredibly hard to close.
As for the future of The Modern Betty
We don’t know exactly what it will look like yet. But what we do know is this: Crystal will always be in the kitchen, creating, dreaming, baking, and teaching our boys how love, creativity, and connection can be shared—one baked dish at a time.
Our final Gilbert Farmers Market will be December 13th, and we would love nothing more than to give you a hug, share a cookie, and celebrate all we’ve built together.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for supporting not just our business, but our family, our dreams, and our story.
With love, gratitude, and so many sweet memories,
Brian & Crystal
From our family to yours
