What an incredible day at our 12th Annual Livestock Show!

With over 70 animals exhibited, the quality of livestock on display was impressive—but what truly stood out was the character of our exhibitors. Watching these kids help one another, encourage each other, and show respect—even in the middle of competition— was something special to witness.

We are incredibly thankful for our judges and the time, care, and thoughtful feedback they gave to each exhibitor. One judge summed it up perfectly when he said, “You’re not only raising great livestock, you’re raising great kids.” That couldn’t have been more evident throughout the entire show.

We also want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this show possible. From setup to cleanup and everything in between, this event truly took a team. We couldn’t have done it without everyone pitching in, and we are so appreciative of the time, effort, and support given so generously.

We appreciate Chandler FFA and Mrs. Williams for the use of their facilities and equipment and all of their hard work!

Thank you to all the families, friends, and supporters who came out to cheer on these exhibitors and support the show. It truly takes a community, and we felt that support every step of the way.

‘Twas the night before the San Tan 4-H livestock show, and all through the pens
Not a creature was stirring, not even the hens. The tack boxes were stacked by the trailer with care,
In hopes that blue ribbons soon would be there.

The kids were all tucked in their beds for the night,
With buckles and prizes dancing in sight.
Show shirts laid out and boots shined just right,
Brushes and halters ready by first morning light.

The cattle lay resting, the goats curled just so,
The lambs softly breathing, the pigs lying low.
Bellies were full and blankets were tight,
All dreaming of champions come judging time bright.

With gratitude filling each heart in the barn,
For sponsors and supporters who help make the charm.
Every prize on the table, each buckle and banner,
Gifted with kindness, pride, and good manner.

So rest now, young showmen, tomorrow’s your day,
To lead with your best and let hard work pay.
For win or for learn, one truth always shows—
It’s the love of the stock and the people that grows.

And as the barn lights dim low out of sight,
Happy show day to all…

We had a successful Santan 4H meeting at Chandler High FFA tonight. Cayden presented a demo on Parliamentary Procedure. Logan Auza presented on our future rocking horse community service project.

Congrats to all Santan 4H members who showed at the Arizona State Fair.

It’s that time of year! FFA and 4H members are starting new livestock projects and Brenna recommends to: clean the water trough/bucket once a week to ensure it is algae-free. Empty the water container and scrub it to remove algae, dirt or debris. Rinse it twice each week using a weak solution of bleach and water (1 part bleach: 9 parts water), then rinse again with fresh water and refill.
