Hi friends & family! Our 11th annual club livestock show is coming up Feb 1st! We would love to have you join us for breakfast, a silent auction, and to watch our kids show Cow πŸ„ PigsπŸ–, Chickens πŸ“, Rabbits πŸ‡ Goats 🐐, and Lambs πŸ‘ ! Everyone is invited. Bring friends/neighbors! Let me know if you’d like to come so we can get a feel for how much food we need for breakfast!

We had a successful Santan 4H meeting at Chandler High FFA tonight. Cayden presented a demo on Parliamentary Procedure. Logan Auza presented on our future rocking horse community service project.

Congrats to all Santan 4H members who showed at the Arizona State Fair.

It’s that time of year! FFA and 4H members are starting new livestock projects and Brenna recommends to: clean the water trough/bucket once a week to ensure it is algae-free. Empty the water container and scrub it to remove algae, dirt or debris. Rinse it twice each week using a weak solution of bleach and water (1 part bleach: 9 parts water), then rinse again with fresh water and refill.

Several of our club members participated in The Arizona Livestock Camp last month. Awesome job Meg, Josh, Annabelle, Kyria P, Keira R. and Lexi!

And then on to Route 66 show… Josh got a callback in 8 & under, Annabelle was 8th Senior Steer showmanship, Meg was 6th senior in hogs and Grand Senior goat showman. Great Job San Tan 4-H kiddos!!

4-H season is kicking off! Our first meeting is tonight and then we will meet once a month. Out club offers Largestock (Beef, Swine, Lamb, Goat) and Smallstock (Poultry,Rabbit,Cavy)
