The last round of bread has been baked.
Tons of tears have been shed.
Lots of life has been lived.

So thankful for this sweet little kitchen, and all of the opportunity and friendship it has afforded me during our season in Oklahoma. I’m sad to be closing up shop, but am grateful that the reason it’s hard to leave is because it’s been such a blessing to me, my family, and others.

Thank you SO much to every single person who has crossed our path in support of this carb-a-loaded venture. I’ll miss you immensely and think of you every time I go to feed my starter, turn on an oven, or purchase more flour.
YOU have made a huge impact on my life, and I’m a better person for it. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Hey friends,

It’s time I share some important and bittersweet news- our family will be moving back to Texas soon, which means The Okie Doughkie will be closing.

When I started this little venture, I never could’ve imagined what it would turn into. What began as a personal hobby became something that blessed my family in so many ways. It gave me purpose, connected me with amazing people, and opened the door to a community that has felt like home from the very beginning.

Over the last three and a half years, your encouragement, loyalty, and friendship have meant the world to me. Every kind message, every market day, every person who took the time to stop and share a story — it all mattered more than you know. I’m walking away with a heart full of gratitude and memories that I’ll always cherish.

We’ll be at the last Chandler OK Farmers Market of the 2025 season this Saturday (10/25) and there will be one final bread drop at Petal Pushers Flowers and Gifts next Wednesday (10/29). If you’re around, I’d love to see you one more time and say thank you in person before we set off into our next adventure.

This community has been such a gift to our family. Thank you for making this journey so special and so difficult to leave. 💛

If you’re looking for the perfect summer dish- look no further!
Get some tomatoes from Mile View Acres, throw in some mozzarella pearls, a hefty handful of fresh basil, and toss in a light amount of good olive oil along with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. It is GLORIOUS. Throw it on top of some of our toasted sourdough bread and you have a filling, nutrient dense, and DELICIOUS lunch/dinner/snack that comes together in literally 5 minutes. 😍
