Lemon Blueberry cake - one of my favorites!! Zing from the lemon, little bit of tart from the blueberries and then the smoothness from cream cheese frosting. I call that a fabulous trifecta! Thank you Tom for your order. And now I need to make one for me!!

Last week in between all the cookie making I made, stacked and delivered a cake. Client wanted a banana cake with strawberries. The final product was three tier banana cake, cream cheese frosting and sliced strawberries inside with a few on top. I was excited to get a pic of the inside! Thank you Kim for your order!!

I finally got to eat a cake instead of making and sending it out the door. I bought new cake pans and wanted to test them. Plus my fabulous Dad has a birthday coming up. That means a lemon cake is needed. I made this gorgeous lemon cake with lemon cream cheese frosting. It is light and lemony and the cream cheese frosting with a hint of lemon is the crowning glory!!

I don’t usually decorate cakes, but a friend needed cake and cupcakes for her sister’s bridal shower. The colors were beige and white. The final result wasn’t so bad!

January is quiet at the bakery after the holidays and New Year’s resolutions. First bake of the year was for hubby. After much deliberating he chose a cookie ‘cake’. It is three layers of chocolate chip cookie with frosting in between and around the top. His frosting of choice - peanut butter cream cheese. It cuts like a cake but you can pick it up with your hands. Delicious if you take a big bite or eat layer by layer!

How to be the most loved coworker? Bring in these beauties!! I am guessing the s’more cookies will go first because they are the cutest! But what will be second?? I adore the triple chocolate. Hubby would choose PB first any day of the week!! My Mom adores Snickerdoodle which is why I worked so hard to get the recipe right. Thank you Crystal for the order!! I had fun making these!

Delivered cupcakes for a baptism today. Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting and Vanilla with Vanilla Buttercream. The crosses were made by hand placing gold pearls while the other ones were melted candy wafers piped into shape and topped with sanding sugar. The final look was a success! Strawberry cupcake with strawberry buttercream - that is pure joy! There are diced up strawberries and strawberry purée in the cupcake. The buttercream has ground freeze dried strawberries. Caramel salted brownies - oh yes!!!! Request for brownies with caramel and no nuts. So I made fudge brownies, added salted caramel chips and topped with scratch made salted caramel. This is a keeper recipe for sure! Thanks to being such a great boss and ordering for his employee’s bday!
