Hopscotch will be closed Friday, January 30th, as part of the nationwide shutdown in solidarity with Minneapolis and our immigrant neighbors.

This has already been a particularly challenging winter for local businesses. But whatever the financial concerns, the violence and cruelty we’re witnessing from ICE and our federal government are such that ‘business as usual’ does not feel like an option.

Tomorrow, we will be withholding our spending, marching in protest, and giving to funds like the Midwest Immigration Bond Fund that go directly to the release of ICE detainees. We hope you’ll do the same. A single day isn’t the end-all, but it’s a start. We hope to keep showing up.

Immigrants make America great. Abolish ICE. Love your neighbor. See you soon. ♥
