⚠️ Scam Awareness Post

Hi friends! If you make a post looking for recommendations for cakes, baked goods, or any other service, please be mindful of scammers.

I had a customer reach out needing a last minute order after being scammed by someone pretending to be a bakery. Unfortunately, scammers will use other people’s work, steal photos, post AI generated images, and make their pages look legitimate.

Before sending money, always check the following:
• Check reviews and comments
• Reverse image search photos if something feels off
• Be cautious of pages using lots of AI images
• Never send payment through Bitcoin or other unusual payment methods
• Look for a business location, contact information, and real customer photos
• Ask for an order confirmation or invoice

The person who scammed this customer had no reviews, no location listed, used other people’s work and AI posts, requested payment through Bitcoin, and never sent an order confirmation. Please be careful when ordering or doing business with anyone online. There are so many hardworking small businesses out here, but unfortunately there are also people taking advantage of customers.
