We weren’t sure we’d make it…

But with the support of each of you, and the grace of God, Kolacheez has survived another wild ride.

Did you know we started this whole kolache and coffee shop idea just before the shutdowns in 2020?

We signed our first lease and the whole world closed. All of our buildout materials skyrocketed in price and we decided we were going to have to do the work ourselves even if it took 3x as long to get it done.

Then, Robert wrecked a motorcycle and had to have major ankle surgery… and wasn’t able to do the work himself as planned. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thankfully there were MANY helpers and volunteers that stepped up along the way. And extra loans had to be taken out through it all.

Then we opened and business was SLOWWWWW. People just couldn’t find us. And they didn’t know what kolaches were. But we kept pushing forward.

Surprise! After putting in years of buildout, mountains of money, countless days of blood, sweat, and tears we had to suddenly leave our first location. 😱

But the Lord brought us to Main Street and let us keep a drive-thru. 🙌🏻 we’ve seen growth. We’ve met new people. We’ve seen returning cyclists and regulars. And we felt peace.

Just over a year later, we came in to find gallons and gallons of water pouring through our ceiling because of a water issue in the apartment above us.

We had to close… coming off of a very slow winter season… for repairs of the ceiling and floors and replacement of furniture and equipment.

It was brutal. We worried we would lose customers. We worried that our amazing employees would have to go elsewhere for income. We weren’t sure we would financially recover.

But we are ecstatic to announce that WE ARE FULLY OPEN starting today for dine-in, drive thru, and carry out orders.

We have the same great staff you’re used to.

And we wouldn’t be here without your support. Thank you for showing up for us. It is HARD to be a small business and we are beyond grateful to be part of this community with so many generous individuals.

We can’t wait to see you as we continue to feed the community with food and fellowship!

We are soooooo close…

Recap:

☔️ April 15- massive water damage from a water issue in the residence above our shop
✅ Ceiling fully dried out thanks to WayMakers Restoration
✅ Ceiling patched and painted
✅ Floors replaced
✅ new chairs and table legs have arrived

⏰ just waiting on the table tops to re-open our dining room.

🙏 We NEED you! Taking a hit like this as we were coming off of slow season could have easily closed our doors. If you’re looking for some great food and espresso, please come support us today at the Drive-Thru or Carry Out.
