Good morning friends!
The stand is open and stocked with fresh buttermilk AND apple c***r sourdoughnuts!
There is coffee cake, breads, cookies and more.

If you’re coming out to Norwood Farm today, don’t miss me! I’m across from the entrance with fresh sourdoughnuts here as well.
Shelves are stocked with breads, cinnamon rolls, cookies, maple pecan rolls, baguettes galore, sauces, seasoning, a little bit of most of my regular stock.
Once my fryer gets up to temperature I’ll have sourdough funnel cakes made fresh to order. ❤️

Belmont is open 8-6 today, and here in Appleton until 3!

These are sourdough carrot ginger white chocolate and they are scrumptious.

Also, a new addition, itty bitty seasoning packets.
1oz is actually A LOT to work with.
Fun fact, with the exception of sugar and spice (because like… in this growing zone? No), all of these blends have components from my own garden. They’ve been dried and blended into something magical, so you can add some Mossflower spice to your own cooking. ❤️

Open 8-6 today.
Rolling out some new bread flavors today and tomorrow.
Also, new scone flavors.
For you sweet lovers, raspberry milk chocolate scones.
And for you savory fans, cherry tomato, garden basil, and fresh mozzarella.
Classic blueberry scones are out too!

This week’s cookies are Snickerdoodle and salted brown butter chocolate chip.

There’s something new I tested out with the kids.
It’s Banana Nut Coffee Cake! 🍌 🍰
They said it’s good, so if you disagree… well, no you don’t. 🥰🤣🥰

Fresh baguettes this afternoon.
Bagels tomorrow, I’m trying to think of all the little stuff I make and stick automatically and my brain is frazzled.

I have some unisex t shirts and canvas tote bags out for yall.
Various sizes including a few youth sizes.

Handmade, so… there are some that have been marked down due to quality errors.
Don’t overlook the AS IS shirts entirely though, they’d make great work shirts or day off shirts. Get them dirty. Stain them. Do your worst.

✨Mossflower loves Madison✨

I know, I know, keep politics out of business, but hear me out.

When I started in the spring I had a little painted shelf and I was giving everything away*
In part because permits and licenses were tricky, and in part because I saw a need in my community and wanted to help. (The need is still here, btw).

Madison Cook was the only Maine candidate to reach out to me.
We met, and she said,
“Tell me about food insecurity.”
“Tell me about the barriers making good food less accessible to the public.”
“Tell me about the local need for change.”
“How can I help?”

Madison is a local face that wants to hear from you. She wants to implement the changes that our community needs and has been asking for.
She wants to see our community grow to be their best, most successful version of ourselves we can be.

Mossflower loves Madison.

*Unfortunately, the free/pay what you can model stopped being realistic in many ways, but I still strive to make healthy, quality, artisan foods accessible to the larger community for a reasonable price

My flabbers have been thoroughly gasted.

Thank you to everyone that helped me experience my first event sell out.

The stand will be open tomorrow 9-4. I’ll have special mark downs in addition to the usual Sunday $5 sandwich deals.

Here’s nearly 6 hours condensed into 2 minutes.

TLDR: social expectations can be ✨ A LOT ✨

Social media says I need to post more videos and content which… is really hard for me. I get super self conscious, and do that thing where I compare myself to online people and it gets overwhelming, but whatever. It’s just different ways to combine butter, sugar, and flour. Who even cares?

My human, real life people say “just be yourself” but… if I were myself ✨ALL✨ the time, I would make really weird food content (I LOVE the Nutter Butter marketing and that’s all I’m@ saying on that).

Anyway. I’m grateful that y’all enjoy my products and keep coming back.
I do the honor system bakery because I am, and always have been, a “back of house” kind of restaurant/food preparation person. Never waitressing or counter staff if I can help it. Too many micro-conversations and fake smiling for hours on end can really take a toll on some people. Like me. I’m that person that just can’t do it anymore.

I’m not saying that I don’t enjoy meeting my customers. I actually REALLY love that and everyone has been so kind and supportive.
It’s the little things. The… “bean soup theory” kind of stuff I struggle with.

Anywhooooo…
