Fake florals look cheap! 👏🌸 But really, some silk florals can be lovely, especially if the cake is going to be placed at a bit of a distance. Good rule of thumb, 3ft! Otherwise, when you get up close, silk or wooden flowers can read as cheap or like corners were cut. There are so many great tutorials on how to create buttercream or sugar flowers, and endless options when it comes to safe florals for cake decorating! 🍰🤍🌸✨

Never stop trying new things… if you would have told me 10 years ago that I’d be making custom cakes, I’d have probably giggled and told you how crazy you were! Surprise yourself, do the crazy things, and above all, believe that you absolutely can, and that you deserve all the sweet treats life has to offer 🤍🍰✨🥰

The problem with pastry cream is that you can stand there and simply eat it with a spoon, and suddenly you need to make more because there isn’t any left for your cake filling. Boston Crème Pie isn’t actually a pie at all. It’s a cake, and if it doesn’t have a layer of crème patisserie as thick as the vanilla sponge, what are you even doing! This one is drenched in a a thick semi dark Chocolate ganache. I might have made extra pastry crème. 🤍🍰🥧
