Dreams do come true!

You have helped a small town Iowa boy with no baking experience or baking degrees create a successful bakery offering some products that you do not get at most bakeries, and done the old school way. A dream I have had for awhile. We are going out on top!!THANK YOU ❤️

I have received a lot of cards and very kind comments recently and even though I am sad to be closing hearing these words makes me feel good about what I tried to create and our great products. Very kind of you all!!

Story time:
We I first moved into this building on Mount Vernon Road their were a lot of people upset with me. Why were they upset?? They weee upset because i did things differently than the bakery here before me Croissant Du Jour. I did not have their lobster bisque soup, their turkey croissants, or their beautiful tarts they made. After a little while people calmed down and realized I made some good products and were not upset anymore. Why do I tell you this story?? I say this because when we leave new owners will be coming in. They will not be Rustic Hearth, but just like I came in new, give them a chance. Who knows you may find something else you really like. Continue to support local!

I have a lot of people asking what is next for me. I appreciate their concern and wanting to wish me well. Right now I need to concentrate on the final weeks of Rustic Hearth Bakery. I know full well I am only as good as my last bake. If I start turning out bad product now it will tarnish my name. So with orders coming in for people stocking up, I need to keep the pedal down and concentrate on baking some great product!!! Again thanks for all the concern.

It is getting down to the wire. I have customers wanted to stock up on product before we close. I would like everyone to have a last chance to get our baked goods. So if you are looking to purchase things to put in the freezer to stock up, please call ahead. Call us at 319-200-4008 a few days in advance and we would be happy to bake extra and set them aside for you. This is the best for all of us. Again Thank You!

With only a couple of weeks left. We are not coasting. We are here bringing you our best!! Speaking of which. The jalapeño/Creme cheese Danish look very edible today 😀
