Today is a special day around here... I turn 40! 🎂

As I celebrate this milestone, I just want to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you to every customer who has trusted me with your birthdays, weddings, baby showers, graduations, and all of life's sweetest moments. What started as a love for baking has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined, and that's because of all of you.

Every order, every kind review, every recommendation to a friend, and every photo you share means more than you know.

I'm spending today feeling incredibly grateful. Grateful for my family, for this business, and for the amazing community that continues to support my dream.

I have been slacking on posting cakes 🫣

After taking some time to slow down and reset, I’m so happy to share that I’m opening my books back up again 🤍

Creating for you all is something I truly love, and I’ve missed being a small part of your celebrations, big and small. That being said, I will be taking on a limited number of orders so I can give each one the time and care it deserves.

✨ New Year, Healing, & Gratitude ✨

As we step into a new year, I wanted to take a moment to share an update from my heart.

The past few months have been about something very important for me, healing.

Many of you already know that I’ve been working through a significant shoulder injury, but more recently I also experienced a TIA (often called a “mini-stroke”), which was a scary and eye-opening moment for me. Thankfully, I’m doing well, and with the guidance of my medical team, I’m fully focused on recovery, rebuilding my strength, and protecting my long-term health.

Because of that, I’m approaching the coming months with intention and patience rather than rushing the process. Right now, my tentative goal is to begin easing back into orders later this winter / early spring, as my body allows. I’ll continue to share updates along the way so you always know what to expect.

What I want you to know most is this, your kindness, patience, messages, and support have meant more to me than I can ever properly express. To every client who checked in, waited, encouraged me, and stood beside me through this season… thank you. Truly.

This new year feels like a fresh chapter: one filled with healing, hope, and gratitude. I’m so thankful to walk it with such an incredible community.

🖤 Important Update from Mackenzie Alexander Bakery 🖤

As many of you know, I pour my whole heart (and both hands!) into every single order that leaves my kitchen. A little over a week ago, I was in a car accident and injured my shoulder. I’m okay, but unfortunately it appears to be a possible rotator cuff injury. I have more appointments coming up, and surgery may be on the table. Because of this, I simply don’t know yet how long my recovery will take.

✨ For that reason, I will be temporarily closing my books for all new orders.
If you already have a cake on my schedule, your order is still 100% confirmed, and I will be following through with everything currently booked.

I truly appreciate your understanding, patience, and kindness as I navigate this unexpected setback. Your support means so much to me, more than I can ever express. I want to be sure that when I reopen my books, I can give you the quality and care you deserve.

I’ll share updates as soon as I know more.
