Hello
I have been overwhelmed these days and behind the schedule of new baked goods descriptions
My two new cookies: cookie n cream vs. black cocoa matcha were inspired by Levain bakery’s cookies.
Levain bakery in NYC is famous for their 6 ounce chocolate chip cookies.
The inspiration here is the texture and thickness not the weight tho. I love the chewy, soft texture with a bit crunchy outside.
My cookie n cream cookies make with two kinds of chocolate: white and semi sweet and oreo crumbs then topped with white and dark chocolate ganache and some mini oreo.
The black cocoa matcha as you see from the photo has dark chocolate and some Oreo crumbs on the black cocoa half and white chocolate on the matcha half. Why black cocoa? Except for the image effect side (the contrast), black cocoa powder is ultra- Dutch processed which gives Oreo cookies their signature color and taste. Anyway, it has much more robust chocolate flavor and smooth texture and unsweetened- chocolate highlights, which i love. I use 75%- 95% dark chocolate when it comes to my brownies, cookies.

We wrote our morning story this am at Morning Story in Marion.
The highlight of my breakfast: mini monkey bread (a must try) and apple kale cucumber juice.
My sunny side up eggs were a bit overcooked others: green chili egg benedict had very nice flavor and the carnitas spot on. Huevos rancheros had great flavor as well we just love it a bit spicier but this is totally personal preference.
Make sure you doublecheck your order on weekend they have a rush in the morning ❤️

We did two special High Tea this week. One for our family member who just got a job offer after receiving her Doctorate. One for our High Tea regular. Yes this is her 4th time sitting at our High Tea.
We feel so proud to congratulate on another family Doctorate as well as welcome my regular and her guests.
It’s all milestone celebration ❤️🙏
