A sweet and simple cake for my sister in law and her “new” husband. ❤️
Update- you won’t be seeing much of my own work from this page. I have greatly reduced my workload due my ankle still not feeling great. Just two hours of work leaves me in days of pain. And most orders take 8-12 hours each. So what you see from here will either be of things I make for gifts, for fun and can take my time on. I’m also contemplating transitioning to a dessert blog like I used to have. If you enjoy my personal posts or are nosy like I am 😂, feel free to follow me .m.garza. I’ve enjoyed doing this for the last 16 years. I’ve met and worked with some of the best people. Baking has gifted me with some lifelong best friends, learning community over competition. I was honored to be considered a finalist to go on to the Food Network. My cookies were sold in Kendra Scott’s Sips & Sweets cafe. I’ve made cookies for the Newsboys, Tauren Wells, and other Christian artists our family loves. So many amazing things. I’m in tears that I have to leave that behind. It’s been a beautiful journey. But I have to put my health first. I want my ankles healthy and strong for myself and for my kids. I started baking as a way to stay home and be available. Now that they are older, it provides me with some time to figure out what I do next. Thank you so much to everyone who has trusted me with your wedding, birthday, showers, and gifts. It has been such a blessing.
