Itā€™s high time this beauty took a permanent place on my feed! She really catches the eye, doesnā€™t she!
This unique Southwestern inspired cake was created for a stylized wedding scene at a photography retreatā€¦ held last fall at a beautiful venue in the small Southern Utah town of Mount Carmel.
The instructions were: Elegant Western / Native American vibes with incorporated Cacti šŸŒµ
I was given creative freedom from that point on.

The tribal design elements, rustic frosting texture, suede fringe on the pedestal, and the various species of cacti all came together in such a fun way to capture the theme for the photo shoot.

This pretty two tier cake for Emalyce & Dawson has a 6ā€ extra tall carrot cake top tier, and an 8ā€ extra tall bottom tier of white chocolate cake with strawberry filling.

Tiers are 6ā€ & 8ā€ with approximately 27 generously sized servings of cake.
Tip: Although itā€™s delicious and a beautiful deep red colorā€¦. whenever a bride orders a Red Velvet cake, I always recommend NOT smashing it into each otherā€™s face. Red Velvet is extremely staining and will make a disaster out of your beautiful formal clothing. It can also stain your skin, which wouldnā€™t be so great for photos. So go ahead and order the Red Velvetā€¦ just be kind, and use a forkšŸ˜‰
