14 years ago today, we quietly removed the brown paper from our windows and unlocked the doors. We didn’t make a big announcement about our opening day because that’s not really our style. Instead we tried to be real cool, while nervously learning how to run a cafe, hire and retain staff, do payroll, keep track of inventory and make pretty latte art.

Of course we have amazing customers and a welcome community to thank. Of course we have many many staff members to thank from over the years.

Sitting at the cafe today doing paper work and lots of prep, it feels very rewarding to know we made it to this point. We still feel like the new kids on the block, we’re still learning and making changes but we also feel wise and more mature because, hey, we made it this far.

So thank you. We love you. We’re here because of you and for you. Stop in for a little scone tomorrow!
