This is my grandma Millie—the woman behind the famous snickerdoodles and the source of many MANY delicious baked goods—and today she is ✨98✨ years old. I can still close my eyes and I’m in her living room, waking up from a nap on the couch, my grandpa is in his chair reading the newspaper and there’s a jigsaw puzzle and a deck of cards on the dining room table, and a few cans of soup on the floor from a game of “grocery store,” and I take a deep breath and smell pot roast and spice cake. Without her, there simply is no Fat Baby. Happy Birthday grandma 🎉💕
