I forgot to mention the man behind Moser’s Country Kitchen. ❤️

He has been encouraging me for YEARS to start this business, and finally I decided, “Alright… let’s do it!”

He comes home after a long day of work and still helps me with dishes, packaging goodies, and all the behind-the-scenes chaos that comes with running this little business. He even found me a used oven that’s only a year old so I can have TWO ovens in the house. 🙌🏻 Lord willing, that new oven will be set up soon… hint hint to my husband to get this thing going. 😂

Maybe then things will take a little less time. Maybe then I’ll actually get some sleep.

Haha… maybe. Maybe not. 😜

He’s also wanting to learn more about baking so he can be more hands-on and help even more. So if you start noticing him helping and suddenly think things are tasting better… I can promise you, you probably don’t want to tell me that because I might take it personally. 😂

Just kidding… kind of.

But truly, I’m so thankful for the man behind the scenes who believed in this little business before I ever had the courage to really go for it. ❤️

Last but not least, let’s introduce Lena Joy to the people. 🤎

Lena is not much of an employee. She’s more of our troublemaking, cookie stealing, chaos creating employee that you’re not allowed to fire, so she’s here whether we like it or not. 😂 Luckily for her, she’s cute.

We may have to start hiding the cooling cookies because she has become notorious for climbing up on the table and helping herself to one or two. Or three. Or four. Actually, one time it was SIX cookies that she stole. 😳😂

I would like to think she shared her findings with the big sisters, but honestly, knowing Lena and her sweet tooth, she probably consumed all six without even chewing.

Luckily for her, we love her so much, even when she brings even more chaos to our already chaotic kitchen. She also LOVES helping with the dishes, aka playing in the bubbles. But in her mind, she is being a big help, and that’s all that matters. 🥹🤎

Because here at Moser’s Country Kitchen, we learn as we go, we help where we can, and we have a good attitude while doing it. Well, most of the time. 😂

And every employee counts, even the one who steals more product than she contributes. 🍪🤣

Now it’s time to introduce our 10 year old employee, Arrayah! 🤎

Arrayah is our shy but spicy employee. 😂 Sometimes she has to be threatened with Human Services action because an attitude in the kitchen is not an attitude that’s welcome around here. Haha.

She is definitely more of a behind the scenes employee. Baking hasnt been much of a desire to learn much yet, and honestly, the messy kitchen that comes along with all of the baking chaos is even less her thing. 😂

Arrayah is the one who steps in to clean up after all the baking, and honestly, usually during all of the baking shenanigans too. She loves a clean house and has told me on more than one occasion,

“Do you think you could just build a cabin where you can do all your baking? That way you don’t mess up our house?” 😂

Honestly, fair point.

So while she may not be the one rolling cinnamon rolls or shaping loaves of bread yet, she is absolutely an important part of Moser’s Country Kitchen. Every chaotic baker needs someone following behind them wondering why on earth they needed to use every bowl in the house. 🤣🤎

I thought it was time to introduce you all to the employees of Moser’s Country Kitchen. 🤎 And, of course, we’re starting with the oldest!

Meet Kiarrah, our 12-year-old entrepreneur-in-training. 🥰

Kiarrah loves to sew, so when we were getting the new stand ready, she made sure to put her skills to work sewing burp cloths with her cousin to help make everything look just right. She has also been very adamant that she is going to learn the ropes of baking!

Now, if you know Kiarrah, you know she is quite the perfectionist. 😂 She wants everything she does to look exactly how she pictured it, but she is learning that baking doesn’t always work that way. She’s always willing to learn, always willing to help, and she’s slowly learning to accept that sometimes a loaf of bread might not come out looking perfectly Instagram-worthy.

I’ve reminded her many times, “Just because it doesn’t look perfect doesn’t mean it tastes any different. It’s still GOOD!”

And honestly, that might be one of the best lessons she can learn..not just in baking, but in life. 🤎

So if you see a beautiful burp cloths in the stand or someday grab a loaf of bread made by Miss Kiarrah herself, just know our little employee has been working hard behind the scenes. 🥖🧵

ITS OPENING DAY!! 9am!!

I was told I couldn’t take an ordinary shed and turn it into a beautiful bake stand.

And you know what I said to those people?

Watch me. 😏

A whole lot of hard work, early mornings, big ideas, and probably a few moments of wondering what in the world I got myself into later… here we are. 🤎

Never underestimate a woman with a vision, a paintbrush, and baked goods to sell. 😂👏

And Steph's Sourdough Co agreeing with all my crazy ideas and getting dirty with me! 🤪

Another day working on the bake stand with only TWO DAYS left to do for opening day! 🤪 so much to do PLUS BAKING FOR YALL!!

For those of you who do not know, what started my entire baking business was this little face right here. 🤍

This little face. Bringing him into this world, only for him to leave an hour and a half later, is what ultimately led me to start baking and selling to all of you.

And you’re probably wondering to yourself, but why?

Well, it’s really simple.

While we were fighting for our son’s life, we accumulated thousands of dollars in medical debt that our insurance company was refusing to pay. In the middle of everything we were already facing, I was desperate to find a way to help pay those bills.

I had always loved baking, and people were always kind enough to tell me I was good at it. So I put it out there that I would bake in exchange for donations to help us pay off our medical debt.

In a desperate plea to help my family, I opened up my kitchen and started baking for all of you.

And that’s where my baking business began.

Four years ago today, I welcomed my son, Noah, into this world. And an hour and a half later, he left it.

He beat me to the finish line.

And someday, I’ll be with him again.

Every time I bake, I think of him. I wonder, if this were a perfect world, what life would look like with him in it. I wonder what he would look like at four years old. What his little voice would sound like. What he would love. What kind of little boy he would be.

But instead of being able to kiss my son on his fourth birthday, I look for him.

I look for him in the sunsets. In the rainbows. In all the beautiful things in this world that make me stop for just a moment and think, There you are, Noah.

So when you buy a loaf of bread, a cookie, a cinnamon roll, or anything else I’ve made, there is a story behind this little baking business of mine.

It all started with him.

My Noah. 🤍

Four years ago, I held him for the first and last time. Today, I celebrate him, remember him, and continue carrying him with me in everything I do.

And I know that someday, we will be reunited.

Forever this time. 🤍
