After many days of prayer and many conversations with people I consider to be very wise, I have decided to take my business in a different direction. This forced break I recently had has given me a clarity of thought I might not otherwise have had. You see, I am very blessed to be very content in my life, and to find something to love about anything I do. However, this two-week break allowed me to see that what I truly value (my husband and children) had taken a back-burner to my business. As the days neared for me to go back to work, I was filled with sadness at what I would be missing. And I came to realize that each step I took to move forward was propelled by my reactions to others, and not necessarily my desires. What I love about my bakery, I will continue. I love the conversations and the spark of excitement I see in you all when I teach you something you didn't know. I love talking food, specifically healthy ways of eating. These things I hope to continue by offering educational posts and classes. My bakery, however, in its day-to-day capacity is closed. I know this may come as a surprise to you all. Certainly, I can see how it would be surprising. I hit every milestone and achievement I set out to meet. You all have been SO supportive in making my business succeed. But the things I value the most can no longer come second in my life, and the goal I set out to achieve (offering healthy, scratch-made food to you) can be met better in other ways (i.e. teaching you how to do it). I hope to offer a class this month on making Sourdough (with my very own recipe), so please stay-tuned.
Thank you, again, for all the support you have shown these past few years.
