The Coffeehouse Collection: Volume I

The first of many coffeehouse inspired cake flight boxes to come! Featuring four cakes and snacks to complement each one.

1. Irish Cream ☕️
Mocha cake, Irish cream custard, and vanilla bean buttercream dusted in cocoa powder

•paired with chocolate covered espresso beans

2. London Fog 🫖
Earl grey cake, vanilla bean custard, and honey lavender buttercream

•paired with Dalgona honeycomb toffee

3. Caramel Macchiato 🤎
Brown sugar espresso cake, salted caramel filling, and espresso buttercream with caramel drizzle

•paired with dried apple chips

4. Dirty Chai Latte 🍂
Chai-spiced brown butter cake, espresso white chocolate ganache filling, and chai vanilla buttercream

•paired with dried dark cherries

And because I wanted this box to feel more like a fall experience, I have also included elements to make yourself a simmer pot! Simply add the dried oranges and sticks of cinnamon to a pot of water, add a splash of vanilla, and let it simmer to fill your home with a lovely aroma.

Another year, another birthday cake. This year I went with a vanilla cake, strawberry filling, cream cheese frosting, and chocolate covered strawberries. 🍓 Happy birthday to me!

It’s 2 AM and I just finished packing up all the baked goods for tomorrow’s Community Pop-Up Market at the American Legion in Collinsville.

The flavors included in the cupcake variety packs are:

1. Brown butter cake with salted maple buttercream and sticky toffee

2. C***r cake with brown sugar buttercream and dried apples

3. Chocolate cake filled with salted caramel and topped with caramel buttercream and a chocolate covered peanut nougat

4. Snickerdoodle cake with cinnamon vanilla bean buttercream and a cookie

I will also have apple and cherry cobbler bar variety packs and mini blueberry pie cakes.

It’s going to be a perfect fall morning, so throw on your comfiest sweater and buy some goodies! 🖤

As mentioned in one of my previous posts, I am donating a whole bunch of goodies to the Collinsville Food Pantry's bake sale table at the Community Pop-Up event this Saturday.

You can find apple & cherry cobbler bar variety packs, variety 4-packs of fall cupcakes, and adorable fall themed mini cakes from BFFS. They will also have many other delicious desserts from other donors!

In addition to the bake sale table, there will be many vendors, rummage sales, raffles, live music, and festival food. It is going to be a great time!

This is a terrific opportunity to get out and support local small businesses, veterans, and our food pantry that does SO much for our community. Please share and thank you in advance for your support!!!

I’ve been busy with weddings lately and I’m loving every minute of it! For this cake, I played with structured lines and soft, plaster-like textures to make this one feel like a sculpture.

And this one was extra special because it was made for my brother and his wife! 💖

📣 OCTOBER ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Now that we are rolling into the best month of the year (my birth month 😆), I have some super exciting things planned.

FIRST UP: I am making a hefty donation of delicious fall baked goods to the Collinsville Food Pantry’s bake sale table at this weekend’s community pop-up market. The event is October 3 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the American Legion Post 365 and there will be vendors, live music, raffles, etc. to support the pantry and the American Legion. I hope you all will swing by to pick up some tasty treats and donate to a good cause. I will make a separate post about this before Saturday to make sure the message gets out!

Then… I have my next SEASONAL CAKE FLIGHT BOX planned! The weekend of October 16th, I will be dropping an exclusive Coffehouse Collection. Details and pre-orders will be coming very soon, so keep an eye out! Spots for cake flight boxes fill up quickly so you won’t want to miss it. ☕️

And lastly, my Saturdays are booked up for the month, but I still have some week day availability.

I think what really made me fall in love with cake decorating was the fact that I could “paint” something and have it be consumed.

I have always loved painting, especially with acrylics, but I have a whole bin full of art that never gets looked at or touched. I loved the process, but it kinda felt like a waste once it was over.

So anytime I get the opportunity to use those old skills to freehand a design in buttercream, I am beyond excited!
