I am posting here after much thought. At some point, saying nothing is a response. I am very concerned with the actions of our current administration. My family, friends, and twin grandbabies will be affected by misguided decisions. The price of my baking supplies has steadily increased and not just by a few pennies. I know that many are struggling right now.

The Republican Party and others affiliated with it are pouring millions of dollars into OH. The GOP has pledged $133 MILLION so far in the attempt to bury Sherrod Brown. I have seen some of these ads and they are vicious along with questionable in the honesty department. I am unsettled at all this ugliness. Could $133 MILLION have been better spent in another way for the people of our state? At what point do we decide that the news we believe is often not believable at all? Does anyone really understand cryptocurrency? 🙄 How do we help to restore decency in a very difficult time?
This eternal optimist is very disheartened.

The Carroll County Arts Center is opening an exhibit today called “Healing and Creativity”. The displayed art focuses on the impact of cancer in our lives. All of these sourdough goodies are headed to the Deli On The Square to become part of Laura’s amazing charcuterie for the event. Please come and enjoy the art today and some delicious nibbles from 1-4. We are sooo fortunate to have a vibrant art community in Carroll County!

I had planned on and BEEN EXCITED to bake for the Carrollton Farmers Market this Saturday (8/29). Unfortunately, I have been in the hospital since Tuesday with a Lyme disease-related issue. I will be returning home this evening, but really need to prioritize my personal health although I would like to focus on bread, focaccia, and scones! 😆
I do so appreciate all that have reached out inquiring about sourdough baked goods and the wishes for good health. I am going to do a little practice baking at home and will come back with some new sourdough delights as soon as I am able.

This week’s sourdough (8/24) arriving at noon at Deli On The Square are plain sourdough loaves along with mini olive herb. Sourdough scones are two-packs of walnut chocolate chip and lemon blueberry. (Two same flavor/pkg)
Grab a tomato, some mayo, and a loaf of sourdough! You will not be sorry! 🍅🥖

This week at Deli On The Square sourdough scone prices are dropping! (Are any prices dropping right now except eggs at Sander’s? 😆) The pretty scone window boxes are expensive. This made scones more costly. Your are not eating the boxes though! Scones are now packaged in sets of two. Price per sourdough scone is $.50 lower with two @ $7.
Flavors this week: butter pecan, cranberry orange, and lavender lemon. The LL are lovely with lavender from my garden and a lemon glaze. Like summer on your tongue!

Run, run, run or drive, drive, drive to Deli On The Square for boxes of scones at half off until 3 o’clock closing! I am out of town or would swing by and buy some myself! There are eight boxes left with three scones/box. Some amazing flavors @ $6/box!
