Chocolate Ganache Tart is my most requested dessert. The chocolate shortbread crust (anything but basic) is filled with dark chocolate fudge. Think chocolate truffle in a pie wedge. Definitely needs a cup of strong coffee 🍫☕️

This is THE most underrated dessert I make. It’s just blueberry pie, it can’t be that good right? Wrong! Every July I order 10 lbs of Michigan blueberries from Spencer Farm and the day they arrive is the best day of summer. These berries were on the shrub less than 48 hours ago and are so superior in taste than any you can buy in a store. No sugar is added to the filling…it doesn’t need it. And there’s no top-crust to get in the way of the berry flavor. Just the buttery crisp of the streusel, just like grandma’s. Ice cream is optional, but my grandpa would always opt for “yes”!

I haven’t completely jumped on the sourdough bandwagon but I’ve hitched a few rides. Having a lot of fun keeping my starter “The Wicked Witch of the Yeast” thriving and baking delicious creations. Thank you to Kati Fictum for sharing “Miriam”with me!

Guilty! I had 18 egg whites leftover from making Rieslingsabayon and couldn’t waste them so I made 5 batches of macaron shells for no reason or event. Now I can just pop them out of the freezer and fill them when needed. Any excuse to bake…
