we had a great time at the Taste of Carlisle yesterday...we took our signature vanilla cream wafers...and French Macarons (my favorite was the banana peanut butter...what went first...Cafe Mocha)

Just got word from the surgeon that he is rearranging his schedule to get this damnable cancer out of my skull. I am relieved. The surgery will be at 3pm. Thanks for everyones encouragement and prayers. My wife has been a real Florence Nightingale. I am so thankful for her help through this time.

On Sunday night Jay had a seizure while away in ohio taking care of family. After a cat scan there was a tumor found and it was just confirmed that it was cancerous tumor in his brain. The good news is that it is an easily operable tumor not to tricky for a neurosurgeon. this is a one spot cancer that has not spread. The surgery will be tomorrow afternoon or Thursday.

So excited!!!.....making French Macaroons tomorrow..... had to special order our flours and sugars for this one. Chocolate/Pumpkn and Caramel/Apple. They are the prettiest, most interesting little cookie and they are also gluten-free...we will show you photos tommorrow
