I've been quiet as of late - so many fun things happening at the bakery, it left no time for posts and updates. So let me fill you in...
There was a fabulous film crew and cast in our town, filming an Indie movie in a cabin on Cold Stream. They were the sweetest, most gracious group of people, and I was contracted to feed them. A LOT!! Breakfast every day, lunch for many and dinner a few times in the 9 days they were in town. It was a great experience!! I found that there isn't much you can't make in an oven (I dont have a cooktop/range in the bakery, so everything had to be made in the oven). I want to thank Farmer's Daughter Market & Butcher and Twisted Timbers Cafe’ & Country Store for their help with a meal, each.
On the heels of that job, was a wedding cake that needed some special attention. Another learning activity...edible moss and meringue mushrooms. So. Much. Fun.
So, that's it. As always, I am grateful for the many opportunities I am given, and humbled by the trust y'all bestow upon me. Thank you, from the bottom of my baker's heart.
