HISTORY OF FERRARO'S FAMILY RESTAURANT...🍲🍽️☕... THINKING ABOUT WHERE TO EAT THIS WEEK!!!!!! Friday is all you can eat battered fish!! Also on special Friday is Stuffed Green Peppers and Salmon Patties!! Saturday is all you can eat ham, grean beans, and potatoes!! Also, homemade cabbage rolls!! Then Sunday is comfort food with all the trimming, roast turkey and dressing, baked swiss steak, baked chicken and more!! As always, you can get breakfast all day and you can't forget the baked goods!! It never ceases to amaze me how many people locally don't know that we are here!! Ferraro's has been serving Stark County area for over 120 years. In the early 1900 Concetta Ferraro started baking bread outside in her brick oven on Liberty St. SE here in Canton. Her husband Frank Ferraro would take her bread to work with him at the brickyard where some of his friends quickly caught on to the great tasting bread. He started selling it to his friends at work and soon they decided to open up their first bakery. The bakery became a huge staple of the community, delivering breads and baked goods throughout Stark County. Their son Louie later took over the business, even selling the first commercial pizza in Stark county to Pucci's Pool Hall. when people inquire about him making his pizzas commercially he said " no one but a bunch of Italians would ever buy pizzas... So our pizza still remain one of our best kept secrets!!Then about 40 years ago Frank Ferraro opened up Ferraro's Family Restaurant and Bakery!! All our breads, pastries, cookies and pies are still made here fresh daily in our bakery!! We offer a large menu of homemade favorites including our famous chicken and dumplings soup and hard to find menu items like pan-fried chicken livers, baked ham loaf, or liver and onions.
