To answer the burning question “are you back yet?”
Short answer, yes, physically I’m back in the area.
Long answer, I took time away not only for my family but for myself. I literally worked myself to the bone. The daily pain I have experienced due to the career I love has taken a massive toll. So I am out of options and will now be having double hand surgery. Tomorrow in fact. This means no more cakes or cookies, no more macarons or meringues, no more buttercream or baking. Not forever!! But for a long time sadly.
It truly saddens me to not be able to create wonderful edible art at the moment. I hope to again someday. Words will never be enough when it comes to the gratitude of all the people that supported me through my baking ventures. All the kids birthdays I helped make magical, all the weddings that were a bit a sweeter, all the small things I got to be a part of. It all brings me so much joy. Whether i got to be a part of all your events or just one, it meant something to me. So thank you.
Hoping to bring joy on other ways while I’m recovering and will still be indulging in dessert 🍰🍩🧁🍪🍨
