🤠🥔🍪 WELL, Y’ALL… LOOK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY CUSTOMERS START GETTING CREATIVE! 😂

So, I have a new customer who’s been checking out my cookie page (which, by the way, makes my baker heart happy! 🤎). He wants to try my famous Cowboy Cookie, but there’s one little problem…

He doesn’t like shredded coconut! 😱

Now, I told him the next time I make a Cowboy Cookie order, I’d leave the coconut out so he could experience the cookie without it.

And then he hit me with this…

“What if you added potato chips?”

SAY. 👏 LESS. 👏

🥔🤠 POTATO CHIP COWBOY COOKIE?! 🤠🥔

Now, y’all know I can’t just let an idea like that go. My brain is already running through flavor combinations, textures, sweet versus salty, and how to make this work with my Cowboy Cookie foundation. 😂

Will it be chocolate? Toffee? That perfect salty crunch mixed with the chewy, sweet, loaded goodness of a Cowboy Cookie?

I don’t know yet… BUT WE’RE ABOUT TO FIND OUT! 👀🍪

When I created the David Gage Cowboy Cookie, I created it in dedication to my son, David Gage. It was my way of keeping his memory alive and giving his name a little more sweetness in this world. 🤎

I knew I wanted to share this cookie with you all, and I hoped people would enjoy it… but I honestly wasn’t expecting them to sell as quickly as they did.

Today, I just want to say THANK YOU. 🥹🤎

Thank you to everyone who purchased a David Gage Cowboy Cookie. Thank you for supporting my small business, but more importantly, thank you for helping me remember my son.

Every cookie sold means his name was spoken, his story was carried a little farther, and his memory was shared with someone new.

As a mama, that means more to me than I can put into words.

Sometimes a baker just wants a cookie at home. 😂🍪

And if she’s not a real big sweet eater, there are only a couple of cookies she actually wants to make for herself.

Because sometimes I only need one or two cookies, and I’m good. I don’t need a whole dozen sitting around tempting me! 😂

Today is pre-measuring day! ❤️

I’m getting everything ready for this month’s Cookie Club baking — 3 flavors, 2 cookie styles, and 6 cookies of each.

There’s a LOT of measuring that happens before the first cookie ever hits the oven! 😂 But getting everything pre-measured means I can keep things organized and make sure every batch gets the same love and attention.

Trying Something New Tonight… 🍋

Tonight, I’m going back to the beginning — my first and favorite pie: Lemon Meringue. 🥧

I’m baking the pie, playing with the flavors, and thinking about how I can take everything I love about it and turn it into a cookie.

Tonight it’s all about the pie.
Tomorrow… we turn it into a cookie. 🍋🍪

This is the beginning of The Pie Project at The Vintage Flour Company.
