The Honey & Co. Daily Book Tour is coming to Sofra Allston!

In June, join us for an evening with Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer, the chefs behind Honey & Co: Daily, their most personal cookbook yet, and the duo behind the wildly popular Honey & Co in London.

The evening will be part demonstration, part conversation, and includes a copy of the book, along with a generous tasting prepared by the Sofra team that includes: herby chicken sliders, summer-style dirty rice with chorizo, artichoke and asparagus focaccia, vanilla custard with figs, and olive oil & chocolate mousse (just to name a few).

Upcoming Sofra Allston Class: Thursday, May 28—Meze: Small Dishes, Big Flavors

Across the Middle East, meze is a favorite way to begin a meal. Like Spain’s tapas, it’s all about sharing a variety of small plates with family and friends, tasting a little of everything and lingering at the table a bit longer. It’s a way of eating that invites conversation, connection, and a slower pace. Fresh herbs and layered spices are what give these small dishes their bold, bright flavors without feeling heavy. In this demonstration, Executive Chef Pri will share a selection of meze inspired by the Sofra menu, including whipped fava, spoon salad, warm white bean piyaz with red pepper tahini, and lamb and orzo wrapped in grape leaves with feta sauce.

Our beloved Geno’s Egg Sandwich (named after our equally beloved longtime employee) may only be available until 11am on weekdays, but you can get it at any time on weekends—along with the rest of our breakfast menu.

Sandwiched between a brioche bun, it’s filled with halloumi cheese, feta butter, tomato concassé and zhoug. And it always satisfies, no matter what time of day.

One of the women who inspires us is Chef Nancy Silverton . Maura was captivated by Nancy’s appearance on Baking with Julia, where her brioche tart famously brought Julia Child to tears. In this class, Maura will demonstrate a selection of Nancy-inspired favorites, including the iconic brioche tart, cornbread with honey butter, and summer camp coffee cake. We’ll also make her chocolate fudge—one of the first recipes Maura remembers tackling, and one that continues to inspire her to this day. Sign up at sofrabakery.com/classes or link in bio.
