It’s a big day for us here at Elmendorf! Today is the first day we can say that all of our pastries are made in-house with 100% fresh milled flour 🎉 It was a long road to get here (figuring out the croissants alone took a year and a half, and is still kind of a work in progress) but we’re incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication that brought us to this point 🫶

A massive congratulations to the winner of this year’s professional baking competition, breadboard_bakery! Daisy and the Breadboard team now hold two Grand Prix titles (2024 and 2026) and they are very well deserved. And we can’t forget our wonderful runner-up, Steel & Rye Bakery, and their delicious sourdough boule! Thank you to all of the incredible bakeries who submitted their sourdough this year - each and every one is a must-try, so make sure to visit and try them for yourselves!

In case you missed the judging on Sunday, these three incredible amateur bakers were top of the pack this year! Thank you to all fifty one (!) of the amazing amateur bakers who submitted their seeded sandwich loaves to our amateur baking competition at this year’s Grand Prix, and congratulations to the winners!

The Grand Prix Elmendorf Du Pain is TWO DAYS AWAY!! It’s time for you all to meet the judges for our two bread baking competitions—these folks are truly outstanding, and we can’t thank them enough for taking time out of their very busy schedules to come down and taste a boatload of bread 🥖
