It’s Fall Ya’ll. 🍎🍁That means apple Pie🍁🍎. One of the beautiful perks here in Washington State is our apples. I baked with cosmic apples in this pie and they baked perfectly. The crust is an all butter crust and very easy to work with. Check out the recipe at bakefromscratch.com.

I did something I have never done before. I entered 2 bakes at the Clark County Fair. I have admired my baking community for years and their beautiful entries and was inspired to do it this year. I entered a banana blueberry cake with buttermilk frosting and sugar cookies with huckleberry buttercream. Both were awarded blue ribbons. Such a fun experience to be a part of and hope to be back next year!

One thing I love about summer is baking with summer time flavors. This key lime cake is soaked with a key lime glaze and decorated with fresh berries, limes and mint. Fresh and simple. 🍋‍🟩🍋‍🟩🍋‍🟩

It was a Happy Easter on this gorgeous sunny day in the PNW. We celebrated with a devine classic carrot cake filled with carrots, coconut, raisins, walnuts and spices. The buttermilk buttercream sealed the bunny sugar cookies on the outside of cake for extra cuteness.

It’s a crisp cool sunny spring morning in the . It seemed appropriate to make my very favorite French Pastry, Pains Aux Raisins. When I saw this recipe in the Magazine I almost did a cartwheel. There is just something about the Brandy soaked raisins and vanilla bean paste that create perfection in my mouth.

I made a stop at to enjoy a thoughtfully brewed cup of coffee, and stumbled across a sourdough chocolate chip cookie. I’m always up for a variation of a chocolate chip cookie. And yes, it tastes exactly like sourdough, a little dense and not too sweet. 🍪

It’s my favorite Christmas experience of the season. My annual Cookie Decorating Party. It’s a time to create together and slow down. And, it’s absolutely amazing the beautiful cookies that 10lbs of butter can bring to the table.
