Progress isn’t always pretty… and today it looks like backhoes and a missing sidewalk. 😅🚧

Just a quick heads up: the sidewalk in front of our store is currently torn out, but we are still open! You can enter through our rear entrance, and we’ll keep serving up the sweet stuff while the work is happening out front.

Thank y’all for being patient with us and still finding your way in…even when getting to the cupcakes turns into a tiny obstacle course. 😂🧁

When the ice cream is almost bigger than you… you know it’s a good day. 😍🍦

Nothing like a waffle cone stacked high and a sweet little face ready to dive in. Y’all this is what “Baked in Bama” joy looks like…colorful, messy, and full of smiles.

Today has been full of baking, mixing, prepping orders, and moving around this kitchen… but in the middle of it all, I found myself reflecting. ❤️
Juneteenth is a reminder of freedom, resilience, family, and how far we’ve come. And while I was making strawberry cupcakes, key lime cupcakes, and whipping up another pound cake…because around here, pound cake is tradition …I couldn’t help but think about what’s been passed down to me.
The recipes. The work ethic. The love in the kitchen. The “add a little more of this” spirit. The kind of food that makes people feel cared for.

I’ve always been passionate about passing that down too…not just recipes, but stories, memories, and the kind of history folks can taste.

Today, I’m grateful for my grandmother and the generations before me who made a way with what they had and seasoned everything with love.

So yes, we’re baking today… but we’re also remembering, celebrating, and giving thanks.

Today’s case is full of cupcake goodness… and a little family history. 🧁🍰

Cupcake flavors today: Cookies & Cream, Red Velvet, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, S’mores, Lemon, German Chocolate, Birthday, Wedding, Strawberry, Snicker, and Biscoff Cookie Butter.

And then there’s this pound cake release… smooth, golden, and made in a Bundt pan that is older than me. 🥹

This pan belonged to my Grandmother, and she loves seeing me use the same things she once used to make food with love for her children. Now I get to carry a little piece of that into the bakery and share it with y’all.

That’s the sweet stuff you can’t measure. ❤️
