my Dietz Comet restored. well since i stay home 24/7 anyway being on lock down is no big deal. special thanks to Scott MacDonald who called me 1 day and had me come over. lo and behold he gave this to me. this relc was used in the .30s to mid '60s for the boy scouts. it produces 3 candle power, with a 3/8 x 6 cotton wick. holds about 8 oz of fuel

Family may i introduce to you my 108 year old++ Dietz Victor that was made sometime between 1898 and 1911, because in 1898 the Victor's fuel cap was centered on the fuel tank and was no longer offset, and in 1912 the Victor now had the modern 3/4" cap. Victor was made between 1898 and 1911. I like the old square tube Victors, their like the Model T of lanterns. family, hope everyone is enjoying the week so far. a shout out to Mr. Yu not Y o u in Saugus for hooking me up with 9 Lanterns. as this is 1 of that i have just recently restored. late '40s DIETZ No-100 with a 3/8 wick and can burn up to 100 hours on 1 fill of the fount. special thank you to Cheryl Lynn Renteria for advising on detail work. ie: wire wheel the burner cover globe plate and filler cap clean up to bring out the natural metal shine out.
