So today I almost decided to stop making cakes. Seriously.. for me it’s very stressful sometimes.. like keep me up at night stressful.. because it’s not just a cake…. It’s the shared bite of something wonderful for man and wife on one of the most important days of their lives, it’s a baby digging their tiny fists into buttercream while their family snaps photos, it’s the focal point when families and friends come together to celebrate milestones. It’s not just a cake. It’s more than that. Do I want it to be perfect? Yes! Is it always? No. But I want my costumers to have that happiness when they’re celebrating and I do work hard to hope that happens. I’m NOT a professional baker. I’ve never taken classes. So today I was gonna make a post about no longer making cakes. Then I dropped off this cake for a special little guys 8th birthday. Mom was smiling, birthday boy was smiling. I felt good. I felt like I had made their day special. So maybe, just maybe, I’ll keep doing cakes 😉

Hi everyone! I’ve had a lot of requests for the Fourth of July holiday this year. Unfortunately my bakery will be closed for orders July 2nd-5th as we will be having family visiting ❤️ Thank you for your understanding! 🇺🇸🎆🎇

Hope to see you all tomorrow at the Sweet Exchange Farmers Market! They lowered the chance of storms.. who’s afraid of a little rain? I’ll have sourdoughs, focaccia and limited sourdough flights (plain, dill pickle & cheddar, chocolate chip and lemon blueberry). I will also have some Pammy’s Pudgies ( big, thick cookies 😋) Stop by early!

I’ll have limited numbers of loaves, flights (4 mini loaves) and rosemary sea salt focaccia (if ya know..you KNOW 😉) I might even have a few sweet treats as well.
