Field Family Sugar House Maple Syrup Mom and Dad (Bernie and Sheila Field) are officially retired and are enjoying a labor of love with the family.

It was a tradition that started in the Western Part of the state with the Leverett Field’s. Our family enjoyed our visits to Leverett with Uncle Carlisle and family, gathering the sap from the massive Maple trees. We collected and then sat enjoying the warmth and smells of the Sugar House while the evaporator boiled off the sap to make the liquid gold a/k/a Maple Syrup. Dad constructed his own “Sugar House”, has his Maple trees and is doing his own operation with his family by his side. Many thanks to the “Sugar Master” a/k/a Kenny Gowen of Barrington, NH to supply Dad with expertise and supplies needed.
