Teacher Appreciation gifts for my son’s teachers were a full family effort this year!

• I used Jonah’s handwriting and bee drawing to make cookies for his homeroom and specials teachers.

• My husband designed and 3D printed a name plate for Jonah’s Pittsburgh-sports-loving homeroom teacher. (Stop to appreciate those Pittsburgh bridge props on the back!!!)

• The bottles of honey came from my parents’ bee farm, JBee Farms!

We are so thankful for the kind and patient teachers who are helping him grow as a student!

My son requested a chess theme for his cookies and cake this year! I made the chess board on the cake using a large royal icing transfer and milk and white chocolate chess pieces, “glued” on with chocolate. ♟️

This year’s Christmas cookies for Jonah’s teachers! He always looks forward to “delivery day” when he gets to play Santa and drop them off. 🎅🏼

I have decided not to take orders during the 2025-2026 school year.

Cookies are extraordinarily time-consuming, and it gets to be too much with my regular teaching workload. l never want to dread making cookies or view it as a burden…I love it too much!

I thought this Taylor Swift cookie from a recent grad order perfectly sums up the situation 🙂

A Little Golden birthday! I think this is my favorite set ever. 💛

Congratulations to this Taylor Swift-loving KC grad! His mom also sent me pictures of his two cats and asked me to make cookies featuring them wearing grad caps. Any cookie featuring a cat is a good cookie as far as I’m concerned.

Teaching middle school in May has been so thoroughly exhausting that I just realized I forgot to post the cookies I made for my son’s teachers this year for Teacher Appreciation Week!

Every year I have him draw or write something for me to transform into a cookie. I love how it’s a little time capsule of his handwriting as he grows.
