A few beautifully curated harvest bundles will also be available—perfect for gathering, gifting, or taking a little of the season home with you. 🤍

👋 HELLO, IT’S ME! 👩‍🍳✨

With so many new faces around here lately, I thought it was the perfect time to step out from behind the mixer and introduce myself!

I’m Kaela, the face, the hands, and the messy-apron-wearer behind Opal & Wheat. I started this home bakery journey because I wanted to bring a little bit of scratch-made comfort and joy to our amazing local community here in Kansas!

To get to know me a little better, here are 3 fun facts about me that have absolutely nothing to do with baking:

1️⃣ I’m a nursing student! 🩺 When I am not kneading dough, I am buried in ATI modules, nursing theories, and clinical labs. Balancing school and a business is a wild ride, but I love it!

2️⃣ I have an 11-month-old pup named Scooby Doo. 🐕 He is a goofy Labrador Retriever Pointer mix who takes his job as house protector very seriously.

3️⃣ I am a mom of three! 🧒👶 Life at home is beautifully chaotic, and baking is my creative sweet escape.

When I'm not covered in flour and sugar, you can usually find me hanging out with my family or catching up on much-needed sleep.

With the Market canceled tonight due to the heat, I am opening up orders. If you would like to order anything to pickup/have delivered, message me and let me know your order with requested pick up date and time or delivery date and time.

*Delivery does include a fee if outside of Burrton*

🥐 On the Menu This Week:
Artisan Bread Loaf – soft, flaky sandwich bread
Cookies – soft, buttery, and delicious
Cinnamon Rolls – sweet and savory
Peach Cobbler - made with sweet Georgia peaches
Dry Mixes - make our items in your own home🤩

⏰ Order Cutoff: Wednesday, August 5th at 11:59pm. Once the clock strikes, the form is locked so we can start prepping and baking!

We had a wonderful day at the market! We do still have some items left that will not last long. These items are for porch pickup only! Items are limited so get some goodies while you can! Pickup is in Burrton and exact address will be given once your order is confirmed. I do ask that items be picked up by 8pm tonight.
