Hello all you beautiful people! I haven't been slacking...well maybe a little bit lol. I've managed to throw down a few cakes this past couple of weeks. An Anniversary and three birthdays! Along with trying to paint the trim and doors (11 😬) in my house. And a bit of mowing our pastures. Hopefully I'll be done with that in a week or so.

I have come up for air!!! This week...a small wedding cutting cake and 200 sugar cookies for a 50th Anniversary party. To say this week was easy is a lie. It was an excruciating challenge! We are blessed to have our 3 yr old granddaughter for a few days and that made it challenging to work on cookies after work. She was my priority first. So I worked on the cookies after she was down for the night. Kudos to my son and hubby for helping entertain her for a bit. Some late nights but orders were completed 🥰 Now I have a few weeks off intentionally and one on one time with the little 🥰 Happy Saturday 😁

I've been too busy working on this week's orders of 200 Anniversary cookies and a small cutting cake for a wedding. Stay tuned because I won't be coming up for air until the weekend 😂

Sometimes I don't have time to take cute staged pics of my customer's orders. So I'll settle for what I can remember to get, boxes and all 😂 This past week I baked for 2 baby showers. Theme #1 - Over the moon/twinkle twinkle little star. Theme #2 Ahoy is a boy! Positive plus was the same color scheme whew! We bakers spend more time creating the right colors for an order than we do baking and decorating!

Big shout of thanks to my customers that stopped in to purchase or just to say hi at A Very Vintage Market yesterday!!! It was a very very hot day with heat indexes in the hundreds, so thank you for getting out and about to shop for your sweets and treasures with over a hundred vendors! You rock!
