✨ A past cake that deserves another look! ✨
This llama will forever be one of those cakes I look back on and think, “Yep… I really made that.”
Did he come out fantastic? YES.
Did he take HOURS? Also yes. 😂
And here’s the part that makes this one extra special to me: this llama was completely handcrafted by my hands.
Back then, we didn’t have all the molds, cutters, silicone tools, and specialty gadgets that make things a little easier today. There was no shortcut for this one. Every single little piece of that piñata was individually cut, shaped, layered, and sculpted with fondant by me.
And honestly? This is what I love most about making cakes.
Taking an idea that you can’t just pick up at a grocery store and turning it into something completely custom with my own two hands.
Years later, I still look at this one and remember just how much work went into it—and that makes it even sweeter.
Because sometimes the cakes that take the longest are the ones you never forget. 💚
