WE CREATE THE SAME LOOK AS ROLLED FONDANT... USING ICING! You no longer have to sacrifice the taste of your cake for that special look you want. All of the cakes you see on our web site were made using icing NOT ROLLED FONDANT! We are proud to announce our new location in Historic Buford GA will be opening in early January 2014! We will be offering new breakfast items and an expanded lunch menu as well. Fresh roasted coffee creations, fresh baked breads, and many other great baked goods! We will have plenty of room for corporate parties, group meetings, birthday parties, bridal shower, and lots more! So I met a friend last week for coffee at Baking Grounds Cafe here in Buford. It's one of my favorite places to grab a coffee...or a little sweet treat! We ended up talking about homeowners leaving money on the table when they sell. As a Realtor, this is something I get pretty fired up about

Too often I'm seeing agents price a home based on outdated comps, and sometimes even selling them "too quickly." Now, I know the goal is usually to sell a home as quickly as possible, BUT not if that means you're leaving money on the table.

For example, an extra $10,000 doesn't really affect the agent's commission much, but that $10,000 means a LOT to the homeowner. And I believe it's my duty to get the homeowner the highest price possible for their home. For most folks, their home is the biggest asset they own. Home equity is a key part of their financial plan and eventual retirement strategy. Therefore, I will do everything in my power to help them get the highest price possible. If they decide to sell, every dollar matters.

I hate leaving money on the table. I'm guessing you do, too.

It's popular to "shop local" during the holidays, but I think it's just as important that we support our small businesses all year long! These families provide incredible goods and services to our community, they create jobs...and are honestly some of the bravest people I know. Here are just some of my favorite small businesses right here in Buford:

#1) Amy Nicole’s Nails at Muze Salon. Who doesn’t love a great mani pedi? This gal is so super talented her style and grace shine through in her works of art!

#2) Tchin Tchin Coffee. Specialty roasted coffees, super cute location and space with roll up doors and YUMMY custom coffee treats and knowledgeable staff.

#3) Baking Grounds Cafe. Special treats for all occasions, but the coffee cakes are SOOOOOO good. Or just stop in for a flavored coffee or enjoy a lunch in the cafe :)

#4) Main Street Blooms. Get custom creations for Valentines Day,Mothers Day, graduations and birthdays. Such a cute location (used to be an old gas station) that it looks like a Hallmark movie!

#5) Rico's World Kitchen. Oh my gosh...the food though! Truly one of a kind with an ever changing menu and custom deserts!

#6) Bare Bones Steakhouse. This is the place for MEAT. Classy sides and upscale dining in the historic Main Street, Buford area. Great place for a nostalgic vibe and cool environment.

#7) Johnny's New York Style Pizza. It’s not just pizza. The calzone...yummy! The lasagna...yummy! Excellent drink selection with indoor outdoor seating. The staff and owners are super friendly and local to Buford!

#8) Sol Y Luna Designs. You don’t have to understand the power and energy these beautiful jewels project to understand how beautiful they are and how they stand alone. Check this out at Solylunadesigns

It is a family-owned and operated business and has been for years -- a staple in Buford. From the famous, buttercream frosting (secret family recipe) to the amazing coffee selection you can't go wrong for a business meeting or birthday party! While the staff and the treats are amazing all the time, the Cafe is also an amazing find!

I can't say enough great things about this fun-loving amazing place! So lucky to have found it and thrilled to share it with ya'll.
