i wrote this poem/prayer when my boys first became firefighters.REMEMBERING ALL OUR FIRST RESPONDERS AS THE NEW YEAR BEGINS: IF you have a place for it, anytime, anywhere, please feel free to use it, just please give me credit. In light of all that has happened , tragically, senselessly, PLEASE SAY EXTRA PRAYERS IN WHATEVER WAY YOU DO THAT! THANKS.
Poem/Prayer for our Firefighters and First Responders
For the firemen everywhere, we give thanks .
For the tireless amounts of time and effort they put in, to not only answer calls 24/7 ,
but for all the specialized training hours they give themselves to ,
we give thanks.
For the fact that any hour of the day, our firefighters will put their lives on the line
for us and our family members,
we give thanks.
It is through the grace of God that these men and women were chosen.
The calling is special, the talent unique.
Who else would take the time to learn the skills necessary to deliver a baby,
help a person who has fallen ill , enter a burning building ,
or answer any one of the many different kinds of medical, motor vehicle and fire emergencies
that can happen any hour of the day ?
Who else would work together as a team to keep us safe in our community
as we pursue life's daily tasks and pleasures?
We thank you men and women of the Fire Company ,
from the bottom of our hearts. We thank GOD for you and all that you
represent. Please God, we ask you tonight and all nights, to watch over
these men and women and their families. We ask that you keep them extra
safe as they put themselves out there for us all. We trust and know that Your
Blessings are sent through grace ,truth and love. We thank You God for all that
You give each and every day to your Fire Company and to u
