Alright. My frostings are colored. Batters are in the fridge. Test batches are done. Pans laid out, rings and parchment at the ready. Tomorrow I have a BUNCH of stuff going out and all will have photos posted. Stay tuned.

Farm Story #3

Horses were a LARGE part of my life. Raising them. Training them. Preserving/breeding rare and endangered breeds. One of my favorite horses was a large grey mare, an Irish Draught, she would "help" us with chores which mostly entailed her heavily breathing down our neck as we worked with LIVE electric fencing 🤣🤣🤣
She was absolutely a horse of a lifetime. She was a horse you could have put your Great Grandmother on or your baby in its carseat on. She was also very fond of snackies and water. We often called her a hippo. We let her hold tools and brooms and rakes. She would often get jealous if we worked other horses without her.
She has a pedigree that reads like American royalty for her breed and she scored off the charts at her inspection. Basically, the girl is worth her weight in gold- and thats a LOT of gold.
Tempi was the end of an era for me, and bo horse will ever replace her, but she is living her best life in OK and having purebred babies to give back to the breed. Something that is VERY important in her endangered breed.

Im thankful for good customers. The ones that give me an idea, agree to the risks, and then let me run with it. Chelsea has asked me to do Krabby Patty cupcakes. Ive never watched SpongeBob and my first thought after googling was "ew its all fondant".
But shes letting me try it with frosting, knowing it may not be perfect. So later today Ill be trying this out as a test run dor tomorrows cupcakes.

I hate that I even have to post this (again).
I woke up, to bake Sourdough, and opened my phone to a FRANTIC message about an order that was due today.
They wanted to know when and where to pick up... Except they never acknowledged the invoice. Never paid the deposit. Ignored my two attempts to settle up.

Now they have a wedding party today and no cupcakes. 🤷‍♀️
Sorry, but thats not how this works. If you want goods, you pay. Unless I have EXPLICITLY in WRITING told you not to worry about payment, then you MUST pay in advance.

I have to buy ingredients. I have to buy packaging. I have to make labels, bake the good, ensure I have the right theme and appropriate decorations. I spend HOURS choreographing and baking and preparing, not to mention communicating, sending photos, coordinating pickups... ITS NOT FREE. Sorry, not sorry 🤷‍♀️

What am I supposed to do, eat the loss and tell my child to starve? No.
