Frolla Patisserie was created to bring the art of Argentine bakery to the Austin Community in search of artisanal, gluten free pastries.

Our Story

Frolla Patisserie is a family owned internet based patisserie that started from Susana Rueda's lifelong dream and passion of owning her very own patisserie. Susana Rueda has been baking European delights for over 40 years. Her passion began as a little girl in Buenos Aires as she watched her mother cook traditional Italian and Argentine cuisine. When she came to the U.S., she continued

her cooking and soon her reputation proceeded herself. She began catering for private events and 20 years later has not been able to stop. Susana is married and has three wonderful "grown" kids, who constantly beg to be her guinea pig for her newest culinary creations. In late 2013 Susana was diagnosed with Celiac disease. Her recent diagnosis brought her a new awareness for what the market is currently lacking in the gluten free world of pastries. She found the variety, texture and flavor of gluten free products to be lacking. Susana truly missed the pleasure of being able to enjoy the goodies that had brought her so much joy. Over the last year Susana has focused much of her expertise on crafting the perfect gluten free flour. She has crafted three different batches, each with their own specific refinement to replicate the consistency of what bakers would use for pastry and all-purpose flour. An added bonus, her gluten free flour can be substituted cup for cup for regular flour in any recipe and Frolla is happy to sell the pre-made flour mix if you have the desire to bake your own homemade gluten free delicacies. Good morning everyone! This weekend the Buda Soda Fountain will have the Doberge cake, red velvet cake, delicious red velvet sandwiches filled with cream cheese. Key lime pie, red velvet brookies, cranberry bliss, Viena linger cookies, Nanaimo bars, Nutella bars and on Saturday they will have kolaches, apple empanadas, breakfast empanadas, cinnamon rolls and our new and amazing ALMOND PASTRY( if you are dying to eat a croissant gluten free, this pastry will do it 😊

Dear valued customers, please be advise that I will be delivering the pastries and the cinnamon rolls, kolaches and empanadas on Friday morning NOT SATURDAY because of the weather conditions expected for this weekend.
