It’s that spoooooky time of year again where the leaves are falling and Halloween is fast approaching. On Friday, October 29th, join people from Bucksport and beyond for a night of scary story sharing, outdoors on the lawn of the historic Wilson Hall. Bring your scariest story about ghosts, spirits, extra-terrestrials, or whatever. There will be several scheduled storytellers, but this is also an open mic event. There will even be prizes for the best stories, including a copy of Stephen King’s newest novel, provided by Bookstacks. You provide the tales, and we will provide the snacks. Free donuts from Sweet Cheeks Bakery, free popcorn from the Alamo Theatre and hot apple cider. Bring your own blanket and chair so that you can cozy up on the lawn for some spellbinding stories. Every town needs a home for their stories to live, so we will be accepting donations for the Buck Memorial Library. With haunted Fort Knox peaking through the trees, and the Oak Hill cemetery right next door, there couldn’t be a more perfect setting for this eerie evening to celebrate Bucksport’s haunted past. We hope to see you there!
