Hi everyone! 🤍
It’s been a while since I last introduced myself, and with so many new followers here, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce the face behind the business!
I’m Hannah, the baker behind Cerna’s Sweets. I’m a self-taught baker who has loved baking for as long as I can remember. Some of my favorite childhood memories are baking sweets with my mom and breads with my grandmother. During my teenage years, I truly discovered how passionate I was about baking and even considered going to school to become a pastry chef. Although life took me in a different direction, that passion never left me.
I was born and raised in Buckhannon and still call it home today. Outside of baking, I love animals, nature, traveling, big cities, and spending time with my friends and family. I also work part-time at Las Trancas here in town, so you may recognize me from there, too!
This little business started as something small during the 2024 holiday season. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas that year, I made nearly 200 pumpkin rolls along with many other desserts. What began as holiday baking on the side quickly grew into something bigger, and I decided to officially turn my passion into a business by forming my LLC. Since then, the support has been incredible, and I’m constantly learning, growing, and creating new treats.
Gourmet cookies are my specialty (and my personal favorite to make!), but I love bringing any sweet vision to life…whatever your sweet tooth is craving.
Last year, I took some time away from baking to focus on my mental health. With the support of my family and friends, I found my way back, and I’m so happy to say we are now back in full swing. You may also notice some changes coming soon, including a business name update as I transition back to my maiden name and move away from the Cerna name.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has ordered, followed, shared, and supported this small business over the past two years. Your support truly means everything to me, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead. 🧁✨
